In my presentation for ACBE100 I presented suggestions for solutions to be adopted to address one of the sustainable development goals outlined by the United Nations. I used slides, to show pertinent information or data related to the topics being discussed, for example in the slide attached to this post used extracts from sources to show the severity of the issues to be addressed. 

In my academic communications communications reflection 1 I related my past experiences of being employed in the construction industry to my studies at Macquarie University. I did this by showing that both of these endeavours had a focus on integrity and honesty in work done. “An example of these shared values is trust, which is necessary in construction, as it is in academia; I find I cannot work effectively if I can’t trust others around me to work safely, and similarly I could not produce meaningful academic work if I could not trust others to uphold academic standards.” is an extract that showing how I was able to draw together similarities in ethos between the two different occupations.
